Sustainability is never about products....its always about an approach. Why is it so that we have hundreds of alternatives to plastics and yet we are not able to tackle the problem of plastic pollution on a large scale?
If sustainability is not about the products then its surely about our approach.People around us still lack the knowledge regarding sustainable approach and awareness too upto an extent. The extent to which plastics have become a part of our daily lives, its pretty tough to switch to better alternatives. Its alright..no problem. But do we have an intent? An honest collective approach from everyone out there?
A global threat like plastic pollution and environmental degradation can't be prevented by a meagre fraction of our population. Until now we've created a buzz which makes sustainable products too premium for the reach of a large section of our society.
First and foremost it should start with awareness...we need to educate people regarding plastics and harmful chemicals...their devastating effects on environment and humans. In a more technical way, we can say that plastic pollution is like an irreversible change for our planet.
Unless and until people will realize what waits for them in the future, they won't consider sustainability as a need of the hour!
So, we are here to tackle this persistent decades long problem with a very simple and practical approach. We want everyone to be a part of this campaign to prevent this continuing degradation of our nature. This can be done only by making eco friendly alternatives available to masses. A few hundred thousands switching to sustainability and billions still facing a price barrier or lack of awareness can't produce enough results. We need to make it a way of thinking, only then can we win this game!
Before switching to sustainable living, we need to switch to sustainable thinking!
